I’ve gotten emails from a few of you asking how to put those awesome curtains and blinds from Lauren’s Design Consult into action. I first saw this chic, casual combo on Young House Love and immediately fell in love. Here’s an example of how the bamboo blinds and white sheers will look after Lauren adds them to her living room:
The trick is hanging the curtain rod at the same height as the top of the blinds for a cohesive, unified look. Pretty snazzy, right?? The combination of warm wooden blinds and breezy sheers adds a touch of natural sophistication that will look great in any room.

i am not a fan of bare windows (but who is??)
my fave is probably the sparkling white plantation shutters – they are hard to beat in visual appeal!
However, plantation shutters are VERY expensive and non-transferable. Sometimes thee tailored aspect of shutters does not transfer to a whimsical or romantic atmosphere that is sought.
