Interesting info.I am continually interested in ideas relevant to sofas and living room elements. Something I'd really like to suggest highly to everyone is to always do a little of homework and acquire the best level of quality sofa you can afford. Don't just go by looks alone, because after awhile it will most likely be dilapidated, in contrast to broken in, and your back will thank you. All the best

Marie,

I can totally sympathize with your Austin heat-wave!! It's pretty much the same here in Dallas - lots of sweating, not pretty. We have a duvet on our bed - in the summer months, we just remove the insert and rock out with just the duvet. It doesn't look funny at all, just a little thinner and not nearly as hot. Give it a whirl!

I have been eyeing that pin tuck duvet, but it's hard to imagine buying it with the temp. here in Austin in the 100's!

Gotta say the 3rd setting (with the red and white pokadot napkin) is my favorite.

I wish I had a dining room sometimes so I could make pretty little place settings like this. We turned the formal dining room into a office. We'd never use the dining room tho, because like you, we eat on the couch.

What a fun time :)

I dind't even think about switching out curtains! What a great Idea. I also love the different place settings. I recently added place settings to my table as just a decor piece because we actually sit on the couch and eat too, and from paper plates! (easy cleanup!) I really like the blue plates. the mix and match design and the very versitle light blue color is so pretty!

What a fun outing! I completely agree with you on the bed pillows -- it just looks like they just threw the pillows onto the bed. Ah well, maybe I'm just stodgy....

As for the placesettings, my favorite is the second (the gray melamine plates). I saw those in the new West Elm catalogue and loved them!

I agree with Christy - sounds like a really fun event! Thanks for sharing what you saw and liked/disliked! I'm really loving the livingroom switcheroo - I love the idea of changing up the decor with the seasons!
