Got plans yet for the Fourth of July?? If you’re in the East Dallas area, you might want to check out the Annual Lakewood Fourth of July Parade. Just as the name suggests, it’s a big neighborhood parade in Lakewood (the neighborhood where I grew up) and it’s always a fun time – think lots of family fun and candy being thrown at to you.
This year’s theme is “Lakewood’s Got Talent.” It promises to be a little cheesy, but most of the participants will be little kids and they’re always super cute and excited to have a crowd:

The Lakewood parade is one of my favs! Esp. I was on Lakewood blvd. today and everyone’s yard looked very spiffy! Have a very happy 4th!
