Hi! I was waiting for someone to ask me this question! That house is listed for $654,500, which is almost $254 per square foot – ouch! Let’s just say that most of the other houses in the neighborhood can be expensive, but not typically that expensive. I’ll keep my eye on it and let you guys know how it goes!

One word…WOW! Love the yellow room with black and white accents, how the dining room chairs are different, yet go together, The different blues on the outside…fab job! I see why it won. Great post!

I LOVE this house — but given my penchant for bold color, I’m sure you’ll find that no surprise, Liz. Totally agree with you on the cabinets though — I’d have to stain them MUCH darker and/or paint them white.

You guys are echoing my exact feelings about the Smurf House! Eh on the kitchen, oh yes on the orange bedroom and other fun bits. :) Thanks for coming on the tour!

I would love to claim that orange bedroom as my own, but it actually belongs to a house we toured over the weekend! So, sadly, I don’t know the paint color for sure – but it looks a bit like either Toasted Squash or Autumn Glimmer by Valspar (at Lowe’s) to me – maybe buy a sample of those and give them a whirl? Hmmm. Very West Elm. There are certain aspects I love (I’m with you on the glass tile!), but I agree with you on the kitchen. Don’t get me wrong, I’d be very happy to have that kitchen in my own home, but to me, it doesn’t work with the rest of what they’re trying to do. Something more retro I think would be better—maybe a concrete countertop and glass subway tile backsplash.
