Yesterday afternoon I realized that it had been weeks (at least) since we’d had fresh flowers in the house – a travesty!! I wandered out into the front yard to see if we had anything flowering at the moment and . . .
. . . bingo! I came back in with handfuls of pale purple and hot pink blooms, all found in our front flower beds.
I wanted to add a little cheer throughout the house, so I planned on making three separate arrangements – one for the delicate purple flowers, another for the sweet hot pink buds, and a final bouquet of the sassy pink daisies. The daisies were placed in a simple vase from Ikea, and provided a fun pop of color against our backsplash:
The little purple guys found their way into a clear glass vase (love clear glass vases!!) and hung their pretty little heads near our kitchen sink:
I love having flowers by the kitchen sink – I think they’re so cheery, especially in our open-concept kitchen where the blooms can also be enjoyed from the den and breakfast room.
And last but not least, those lovely little pink flowers – they became a sweet little surprise for my hubby, placed by his sink in our bathroom:
I’m loving looking around the house today and seeing a little bit of nature – it makes the house feel so fresh and bright. So now that you know my favorite place to display flowers is near the kitchen sink, what about you? What’s the go-to flower spot in your casa?

So pretty Liz! I love to have flowers on our bar table in our kitchen, on our dining room table, and in our guest room – when we have guests. Like this weekend! Hope yours is great too!
I also love putting flowers by the sink (and next to my bed). Also, your countertops are beautiful!!
kasey,
Flowers by the bed sound so luxurious! I’ll definitely have to do that. :)
Our countertops are Amarillo Gold granite, and we have been totally thrilled with them – not too light, not too dark, and lots of fun movement to look at. I’m so glad you like them!

So jealous you have such lovely flowers in your own front yard! Hope you have a great weekend, Liz!
