After seeing all of the eclectic, hard-to-put-your-finger-on-it rooms featured on so many wonderful blogs, I've come to decide that I'm looking for something just a bit...well, different. A bit traditional, with a hit of Hollywood glamour, with a good dose of color, metallics and fun. Ciao Pottery Barn! I love all of these rooms — and I think I know what you’re going through as I went through a similar brain shift about a year ago. I think that design style like fashion style continually evolve based on a lot of factors and time can change it just like anything else. There was a time when I wanted my bedroom to be bright and colorful and now I can't wait to make it calming and full of texture. Changing things in your house make it fun and keep it from getting stale! I love these colorful rooms. How I decorated my house 18 months ago..heck even a year ago, is totally different than how I would do it now. I find everything is really dark and heavy. Probably because I didn't know better.
