As you may recall, I’ve been intrigued by Flor carpet tiles for awhile – and now I’m obsessed with the new Martha Stewart faux bois tiles. Check these babies out!!
I was seriously contemplating them for our den, and I really do think it would look fabulous. Unfortunately, I did the math and an 8 x 10 made out of these suckers would come to $713.66 (for 34 tiles at $20.99 a pop). Boo. For that much money, I’ll invest in a rug.
Oh well, I’ll still admire them from afar! What do you guys think of them?

I won an 8×10 FLOR rug a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. They are so easy to put together and wonderful to walk on. Simple to vacuum even with a dog.
This one you are featuring is very pretty. There are so many styles and colors to choose from.
I would not pay for them either. They are quite pricey. But I am also certain they are worth every cent. You do indeed get what you pay for :)
I just followed your links and I can answer a couple of your questions. I think carpet tiles are VERY COOL. Really. I get so many compliments on mine. And yes! They do stay in place. Very much so. Even with a dog that entertains himself by running circles around the family room and skidding on his front paws to come to an abrupt stop.
The style I got is one that you feature in your “thinking about it” post.

I love this look, but I have to agree with you — over $700??!?? I’d rather have a rug than a bunch of carpet squares!
I agree with you – I LOVE the tiles, but that’s wayyyy too much! I know with your creativity, you’ll come up with some way to get the look for way less :-)
I have loved Flor since it came out, and this faux bois is fabulous. Each time I do the math, however, I realize a regular rug fits my budget better.
LOVE them! We have Flor tiles in Fiona’s room and they’re sooo easy to clean and install. I totally recommend them. In fact, we might get some for our foyer soon. I love the design you picked! I say go for it!
I’m considering this look for my foyer. It’s an odd shape (4×10) so I’d have to pay much more for a custom bound rug anyway.
If you still love them, they’re on sale!
