I’ve got a little mystery project going on at my house.

Like all my other projects, I imagine I’ll stop and start it about a jillion times before I finally finish – but my fingers are crossed that I’ll buckle down and knock out a bunch of the work pretty soon. Anyway, when it’s done I think you’ll really like it! Any guesses? Not that I’ll spill the beans…

I’ve seen it in person, so my guess would be cheating…..
OOohh are you doing a little painting-to-resemble-wallpaper on an accent wall perhaps (sort of a la Janell)?!?!?
Regardless, I adore the pattern!

I agree! You are painting a gorgeous design on your wall. I have seen this similar design in a carpet and it is wonderful ! Can’t wait to see the end result. It’s sure to inspire!

TESSELATIONS! I am guessing it is not a wall at J.L.Long, so I will go for wallpaper.
:)
Well, I would have guessed an art project – that you’ll paint and then frame yourselves…but maybe it’s a whole wall! I’m very intrigued, either way. Can’t wait for the reveal – so get back to work on it Liz! Ha!
AND, that taco recipe looks delicious! The tacos I was talking about are just ground beef and the Old El Paso box set – nothing so fancy as yours. I’m going to try them next week and will report back!

I have a pretty good idea!!! I’m thinking a diy wallpaper look in your house? Very cool design

I read your blog daily… love it. My guess is white chalk on a painted wall, in the design of wall paper. If its not, it should be! You just inspired me to try something in our half-bath! Have a wonderful Easter!
look forward to seeing _ I just found a fab rug with a very similar pattern! LOVE your blog! xo
Did you ever finish this (or do an update post)? even if you didnt, please please please tell me how its done, I want that in our kitchen!
There was a short update here: http://itsgreattobehome.net/2010/10/07/what-to-do-with-my-entryway-stencil/. I cut out my own stencil from thick cardboard and then traced around it with a white paint pen – but I think that was a mistake! Next time I will just buy a stencil with a large repeating pattern because it was impossible to keep my small stencil straight (the pattern kept getting a little wonky). I hope that helps!
