Can I get a “whoop whoop” for the first edition of Show Off Your Space?
For those of you that missed this post, here’s a brief explanation of Show Off Your Space – it’s all about you guys! With each edition of this series, we’ll get a sneak peek into the real-life homes of IGTBH readers to see what snazzy spaces you guys have whipped up.
Here we go! Check out this inviting living room sent in by Meghan – the layering of patterns makes my heart go pitter pat:

{ Rumer & Co. }
This picture is of my living room. What makes this my favorite place in the house are the window treatments. I’ve had the fabric picked out for 3.5 years but we’ve moved four times in four years, decorating each living room to fit the floral fabric, but never had them made to hang and enjoy. When we downsized to this house, I made it my mission to make them, and just shy of our one year anniversary in the house, they are up. We love how all the fabrics tie together finally (we aren’t 100% done but it’s so close) and the coziness that the window treatments provides. This is the room we live in and now it’s comfortable and warm, even with the “cool” colors. And…my 9 month old son wanted in on the picture action…at least he’s wearing cute pajamas… ;) ~ Meghan, Columbus, GA
Next up is Shauna’s soothing guest bedroom – I think my favorite part is the texture from the woven headboard and blinds:

{ Elements of Home }
My guest room happens to be the first room I decorated in our new home. I love the way it turned out! This was done on a pretty tight budget and I love how cozy and warm it makes me feel. I secretly wish this was my master bedroom, but I hope one day to have a master bedroom that I love just as much! ~ Shauna, Arvada, CO
Ladies, this next photograph will have you in a tizzy – I want {no, I NEED} a closet like this! {P.S. I spy the rug from our den - still loving it!}:

My favorite place in my house is definitely my dressing room. I converted a spare bedroom into a walk-in closet for myself because I have a ton of clothes! I made no-sew curtains with a bolt of clearance fabric {that was also the inspiration for the color scheme}, purchased some bookcases and hat racks from Ikea to create open storage, and added a dresser I already had. A capiz chandy, Pottery Barn Moorish Tile rug, and Pier 1 bench completed the room! Please check out the details on my blog. ~ Sara, Racine, WI
I’m totally wowed by these spaces – what do you guys think? Thanks to Meghan, Shauna and Sara for sharing their homes with us – be sure to swing by their blogs to check out the rest of their homes!

Wow they’re all gorgeous Liz. What talented readers you have! The living room makes me want to get new curtains for my own…hmmmm…and that dressing room is drool worthy. I just hopped over to her site and saw lots of photos – totally awesome!
I hope you have a great weekend – and I hope my weekend continues to be poo-less in the crib! ha!

Thank you so much for including me in the party! The other two rooms are just lovely – I’ve been dreaming of that dressing room forever – so jealous!! Can’t wait to see all the future rooms you feature!!
And side note for all your peeps- curtains are REALLY easy to sew – just measure, press, and sew in a straight line!!

These are all great rooms – definitely worth showing them off! :)
Great idea for a series. I loved this post.
All of the rooms had me ohhing and ahhing. Such talent.
Totally jealous of that dressing room. I want one!
I love Shauna’s and Sara’s rooms! The guest room is perfect because I’m a geek when it comes to hanging pictures and I’m obsessed with clean lines. Oh and did I mention the green! Love it all!

I really, really like this new feature. The rooms are terrific, and make me feel like sprucing up my digs. You have wonderful talents in your decorating, and your readers do also. Three cheers!
Oooo Liz this is such a great idea for a feature! Any way you could find out for us what color and type of paint Shauna used in her guest bedroom? (Or Shauna, if you’re reading!) It looks like the exact color I’d like to paint my bedroom!
Michelle´s last blog post ..Re: Social Life (It Does Exist…Kind Of)
Michelle,
Hey! The paint color Shauna used in her dressing room was Benjamin Moore Coventry Gray – gorgeous, right? :)
~ Liz
Hey Michelle and Liz….the color on my walls is actually Silver Fox by Benjamin Moore. I’m sure Coventry Gray is beautiful as well (I love anything gray!), but I don’t want there to be any confusion.
Love all the comments here! Can’t wait to see another edition of Show Off Your Space!!
Shauna´s last blog post ..Where to begin??
Shauna and Michelle,
Ha, clearly I’m crazy! I could have sworn that Shauna’s dressing room post cited Coventry Gray as the color. Ah well, now I’m going to have to lust after Silver Fox as well. :)
~ Liz
P.S. I see what the problem is now – I was looking at the color for Sara’s dressing room. Double sigh for me not being able to read questions properly. :)
I really enjoyed this post and your idea to show off your readers spaces. I think they are all three beautiful! I would love to see before and after pictures too. I am looking forward to seeing more of these gorgeous spaces.
I am SO impressed — and love this idea!
Particularly love the blue & white chairs in the first picture and the curtains in the closet (great print!).

GAH! I am so behind on my blog-reading! I can’t believe I’m just seeing this now, I want to thank you so much for including my dressing room in your fun series! I pretty much want to dive into Shauna’s guest bed :)
