Show Off Your Space {2nd Edition}

I feel like a proud parent getting to show off yet another round of fabulous spaces courtesy of my even more fabulous readers.  That’s right, it’s the second edition of Show Off Your Space!  {If you missed the first edition, you can check it out right here.}

Show Off Your Space is a series on IGTBH that’s all about you guys – with each edition of the series, we’ll get a sneak peek into the real-life homes of three IGTBH readers to see what snazzy spaces you guys have whipped up.

Here we go!  From the cool grays to the vibrant pops of turquoise, this DIYed guest bedroom had me at hello:

{ Twenty-Six to Life }

This is our guest bedroom.  It’s the first room that I tackled in our house {still working on the rest!}.  I DIYed the heck out of everything in the room {all the details are at my blog} to keep costs down.  Originally the room was painted a bright “big bird” yellow that made it impossible to relax in, let alone sleep.  I ended up refinishing all the furniture, making a headboard, and putting up a whole wall of decals.  When I started I had no idea what I was doing, I just knew that I wanted gray walls and went from there! ~ Kate

Incorporating bits and pieces of your memories and family history is a sure fire way to make your home feel alive and inviting – and this gorgeous dining room is a prime example!

{ A Lil’ Welsh Rarebit }

My happy place is our fabulous, soulful dining room.  We inherited this beautiful furniture collection from Matt’s mother!  And the photos on the wall are our favorites {which Matt took!} from our favorite vacation – in Rome!  Ooh la la – that city is romantic and so much fun to visit!  The Scottish crystal and Turkish glassware in the corner unit are all wedding gifts from our relatives around the world – we love breaking them out for special occasions, and for the occasional glass of wine after the kiddos are in bed, of course! ~ Christy, Cherry Hill, NJ

{ The Proudfeet }

While this picture might show only a small portion of our dining room, I absolutely love this little space. It represents so many things to me – love for the family and friends in the pictures lining the wall; determination since my husband and I built the buffet together; joy over the little decoration details like vintage books; and of course happiness because of all the good times we’ll spend in the dining room. ~ Katie, Northern Virgini
