As the proud parents of two rowdy kitties, we are often faced with the dilemma encountered by parents of real babies – where on earth are we supposed to find toys for our {fur} children that won’t blind us with their hideousness?
Truthfully, we typically fail in this department and our house is littered with crazy-looking scratching posts and other cat paraphernalia. That’s why I was intrigued by the cardboard cat {or dog} house by Loyal Luxe:

Form and function? Who woulda thunk it?
Have you guys had any success conquering the toy craziness?

We sure did. Found this on Martha Stewart and made it. As per normal, the kitties loved it for about a week. Now it’s far too juvenile for their tastes and they look down their noses at it whenever they saunter by. I can just see their little minds working. “Whatever were they thinking expecting us to find comfort in cardboard boxes. Puhleese!”

Perfect (purrfect!) lead photo! We have chew toys all over the house and I periodically round them up. Just as often, the ugly items levitate back to center stage.
Have you ever stepped on a cow hoof barefooted?!? Gross does not do it justice. Luckily, nearly everyone I know is in the same situation with their own herd of icky looking stuff.
We not only have chew toys and bones all over our house, we have kid toys galore. I’ve succumbed to the mess – I embrace it now! Your kitties are SOOO cute – Fi would love to get her little paws on them. Every time we see one of our neighbors she wants to chase it and she screams MORE KITTY MORE KITTY MORE KITTY….

those are super cute, but my little dog is licker — so the cardboard wouldn’t work for us….love this modern twist

I think they’re great. The scratching posts always look so obscure in a nice room but, these! These would look awesome and function perfectly! Nice find!

Actually, obnoxious colors blend with our decor.
…that’s so sad…
