The Flip: Light Fixtures Out the Wazoo

If we happen to be carjacked by home improvement-crazed thugs within the next few weeks, they will think they’ve hit the motherlode.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever hauled around in your car?

P.S.  Yesterday I decided I should actually use my Facebook page and Twitter account – a novel concept, right?  Anyhoo, I will be posting sneak peeks into what’s going on at the flip that you won’t find here on the blog.  A little insider’s scoop, if you will.  Hope you’ll check’em out!  Facebook here, and Twitter here.

P.S.  Until now, I’ve hosted all of my images on WordPress, but starting with this post I’ll be hosting them on my Flickr page.  I’ve heard that it should speed up the loading of this blog (yay!), so we’ll see if it actually happens.  Other than that, you should not notice any difference in the way the blog looks/feels.  Anyhoo, since this is a transition there may be some bugs, so please let me know if you notice anything wonky happening.  And by all means, if you have any advice on this subject, I’d love to hear it!

  1. A toilet. The worst part wasn’t the embarrassment of having a toilet in my back seat. It was actually trying to get the toilet from the parking lot of Home Depot into the car! I am only 5’2″ and it was the most awkward work errand ever.

Well, right now I have a queen sized Aerobed and sheet set. Only kind of odd! Like Sarah, I’ve had a toilet in there, too….LOL.

  3. Dave treats his trunk like a gym locker — cleats, tennis gear, etc. — and it smells like one! I tend to keep my trunk clear for when we actually have to haul something!

My most awkward “junk in the trunk” moment definitely had to be one day when I was out running errands and got a call from another realtor to meet him at one of my listings. I didn’t have time to go home before the meeting, so I rolled up in front of the house (and the other realtor) with a car literally BRIMMING with stuff from HomeGoods – I looked like one of the Clampetts, and it was QUITE embarrassing to say the least! :)

I have had it ALL in my trunk. If my trunk could speak, I would die of embarrassment! About all of those light fixtures – – – light fixtures are a room’s jewelry! However, it’s amazing how expensive these items can be! Makes me want to see what final product you devise with the painted flower chandelier and gold light dripping crystals. Anticipation!
