The Flip: Updates

I feel like so much is going on at the flip right now that it’s hard to keep you up to speed – I guess that’s a good problem to have, right?

Since the last update, the floor of the former-covered-patio-that-is-now-part-of-the-great-room was leveled out with self-leveling concrete and the French doors were rehung (so now they clear the floor and they don’t stick – double score).

And you may have noticed that the drywall is all prepped and ready for new texture!

The Flip: Updates

The rest of the week will be a bit of a whirlwind:

– Tile starts today – woohoo!!  We walked through the site with the tile guy yesterday and told him  how we wanted everything – I’m very excited to see how it looks.

– Cabinets are supposedly going to be delivered today or tomorrow – but I’m not holding my breath just yet.

– Floors are also supposed to start going in this week!  If you’ve been following on Twitter or Facebook then you already have an idea about what those will be.

– Trim and doors are also supposed to be underway by the end of the week.

If all of these things actually start this week I will be a ridiculously happy girl.  What do you think the odds are that it all happens?  :)

lol… based on my previous experience with contractors, the chances are slim! i can’t wait to see the cabinets and floors; it will really start looking complete at that point!

Oh my god Liz I literally gasped in awe at the transformation in the second photo! AMAZING! I LOVE IT! Those doors are breathtaking, as is the ceiling. What a great solution. I can NOT wait to see more. MORE PICTURES! PLEASE! :)

As to the odds? Eh, ALL of it? Probably not. But hopefully a good 75%! Can’t wait to see the tiles in place!!! So, are you or Jason there all day every day? I’d love to hear about how an average day goes… :)

“Hope [that the contractors actually keep to the schedule] springs eternal in the human breast” (Alexander Pope, 1733).
Maybe Pope had optimistic expectations about HIS contractor also! At any rate, I am wowed and impressed to pieces!

  5. Can I just say “I’M SO JEALOUS!” Everything looks so amazing, and WOW for all you are getting done this week. I’m just toally green with envy. The doors look fab, and it looks like you’ll have a fabulous place here. Can’t wait to see more.

Good luck with everything this week. I have faith that it will all happen and you’ll be a very happy girl.
