Guys, thanks so much for your awesome response to the “Finish this sentence” blog party! I’m really excited about it, and I think it will be a lot of fun.
This month’s topic sentence is: If I won a free makeover for one room in my house, I would . . .
How you fill in the blank is up to you! Tons of pictures, specific plans, inspiration from designers, whatever you’d like! I can’t wait to see what you come up with. (Update: check out the comments for a quick little primer on what goes down at a blog party.)
The first party will be held next Friday, February 11th. Let’s plan on doing it the second Friday of every month, how does that sound?
I’m going to add a little section to my sidebar (keep an eye out for it!) that will have the date of the upcoming party and the topic so that you’ll have lots of time to get your post just how you want it (and I’ll update it each month). Also, I’ve got a little list of possible topics going but I would love your input on things you’d be interested in reading/posting about, so please let me know in the comments!
So we we write the posts then wait to publish until Feb 11th? Can you explain if there are any more details? Do we link to anyone, just you?
Sure, sorry, I should have given a bit more info! Here’s how it will work:
1. I post the topic in advance and give you the date that the blog party will be held – write the post whenever you have time, and then publish it on the day of the blog party (for this month, it’s February 11th). Somewhere in your post, link back to the blog party so that your readers will know where to go to find other participants.
2. After you publish your post, head on over to my blog and share the link to your post with everyone so they can come by your blog! You will share the link by filling out a little form on my blog that will be located at the end of my post for the blog party.
3. Check out everybody else’s links and leave comments! A blog party is all about getting to know one another and finding new blogs.
