Deliveries For the Nursery!

You guys!!  In the past two days we have gotten two very exciting deliveries for the nursery (and they also happen to be the first things to arrive!) – !!!!!!!  Can you tell I’m excited?!?!?

The first thing to arrive was this fabric sample:

Deliveries For the Nursery!

I fell in love with it online but I needed to see it in person before making a final decision – and I think the final decision is a giant YES.

I’ve waffled and agonized over color schemes, the vibe I want the nursery to have . . . I could go on and on over all the internal debates I’ve been having but perhaps I’ll save that for another post.  But in a nutshell, I think this fun, whimsical and colorful animal print is going to be an awesome jumping off point for our little girl’s nursery!

And now onto the other exciting delivery – just a few moments ago I heard the FedEx truck pull up and Jason and I instantly had the same thought – the crib!!  The FedEx guy single-handedly trotted this giant box up to our door:

YAY!!!!

Here’s the crib that we got (who knows when we’ll actually get around to assembling the crib, so this stock photo will have to do for now):

Isn’t she a beauty?!?  I love the mix of finishes and the clean, simple lines.  Swoon.  And it was delivered in less than a week – double swoon.

I’m in the beginning stages of actually putting all of my ideas for the nursery into a design board, so I’ll keep you posted on that.  In the meantime, what do you guys think so far?  And did you have a tough time designing your child’s nursery?  So many decisions!!  :)

I love the fabric and the crib!!!!!! I have learned so much since blog hopping that if I had another child I would definitely decorate much better. I always went more traditional but now I love the different colors and prints available. Can’t wait to see your board and eventually the nursery!!!!!!!

LOVE it! I can’t wait to see what you do with that adorable fabric. And that crib is just gorgeous. I didn’t have a hard time with our nurseries, but I didn’t exactly have a plan either. Can’t wait to see your board for yours! Have so much fun decorating this special room for your special gal!!! xo

I adore both the pretty fabric and the modern crib. I can’t believe the crib came from Walmart. I am looking forward to see the nursery. I am so excited for the arrival of the baby. Congratulations, Liz!

This is going to be the happiest baby girl ever if she has even 50% of your enthusiasm and enjoyment of life. Can’t wait to meet “her!” There are so many directions you can take the fabric, so am looking forward to following your trail! Great job on the crib also!

  11. I’m so excited to see what you come up with! It’s going to be fabulous (of course). We’re waiting to really get going on the nursery until we know if we’re having a boy or girl (Feb. 2). I can’t wait! But, I’ll have to live vicariously through you until then.

(And, have you begun to research other stuff – strollers, car seats, etc.? I was hoping to do that this month but it’s so overwhelming.)

Agreed, it is SO overwhelming!!! I may have had a mild panic attack the first time I walked into a baby store. :) I’m sending you an email!
