Thinking About the New Nursery

It feels kind of bizarre to be thinking about designing another nursery – I mean, didn’t we just do one of those?  And I know, I still haven’t shown you guys how it all turned out – apparently two years is just not enough time for me to get my act together and photograph that cute little room.  Someday, I promise.  :)

Anyhoo, I’m ready to get cracking on baby girl #2’s room – “bright and happy” are the two descriptive terms that keep coming to mind when I envision her nursery.  (P.S. I love that we’re having another girl, it’s going to be so much fun!!)

On that note, this is the general color scheme that I’m thinking of, against the backdrop of white walls:

I think I’d be happy waking up in a room like that.  :)

What kind of vibe did you want your kiddos’ nurseries to have?

From experience I will say I was thrilled to have baby #2 be another girl. I felt like I knew what to expect (and always thought boys would knock me out!) and was happy to be welcoming another girl. And the closeness in age makes for great playmates in a few years. Love the idea of a “happy” room. As a lover of fabrics I would say throwing some Ann Kelle prints in the room would be essential! Check out all her fabric options and her quilts (made for her) on her blog–fun and happy for sure!
And I would love to see the other nursery pics!! :)

    Hey Liz,

I love the bright color schemes you selected. It’s nothing better than to have a nursery that illuminates happiness.

    Congrats on baby #2! :)
