We’ve added another little girl to our family, and we officially feel like the luckiest people on the planet.
She made her debut around 10pm on Tuesday night and she’s been awesome ever since!
Her big sister is quite interested in this “baby! baby!” that’s been hanging around. I’m not quite sure she understands that the baby is here for the long haul, but I think she’ll get used to it. :)
We’re getting in the swing of our new routine, and we’re loving being a family of four. Now, does anyone have any tips for getting some sleep at night? :)

Enjoy it (all except the no-sleeping part) – the time goes so fast (my babies are both over 40 -yikes!!)
Congratulations on your beautiful new baby girl! For sleeping – try the Fisher Price Rock N Play Sleeper – it’s amazing. My son is 7 months old and has always been a super sleeper. He’s moved to a crib in the last two months, but he still uses the sleeper for naps. I just wish I’d known about it for my daughter! I love your blog and look forward to your updates. Sleep well! :)

I see many baby dolls, dress up parties, and Barbie’s in your future. My girls are 14 and 16. I can say that each stage of life has been better than the one before. Sisters are the best kind of blessing!!!

Congratulations! She’s too cute. My oldest was not impressed when I brought home her baby sister. In fact, I think she was pretty angry with me. The day I got home we were supposed to watch a movie together and relax while my husband ran an errand for the house we were purchasing and of course the pediatrician called and told me I had to bring back the baby. My poor daughter got left with the neighbors for a few hours while I drove back to the hospital with my 3 day old. When I got back she refused to talk to me for the rest of the day. Thankfully she got over it fast and once mommy was 100% back to normal she decided that her little sister wasn’t so bad after all and started talking to me again.
Hopefully things aren’t as emotional for you and your oldest.

Sorry…I can’t help with the sleep, though. You will get to sleep again in about 5 or 6 years.
Congratulations on a beautiful baby girl!! Two girls, my my. Some people say having girls is easier than boys but not being a parent yet I’m not sure. What do you think? Thank you again for letting us all in to your lives. Looking forward to more DIY projects but obviously not soon;).

She is beautiful! Congratulations. We are expecting our second child in about a month and we’re not sure how our daughter will respond either. It’s good to see that your daughter was so excited for your baby!
Isn’t it nerve-wracking?? We’ve had a few bumps in the road but for the most part our older daughter is completely smitten – fingers crossed all goes well for you, too! And congrats on your baby on the way!
