The kitchen cabinets have been shrouded in plastic for weeks now, ever since the backsplash and counter tops were installed and the cabinets were stained. They were unveiled yesterday since the painting is almost completed, and it was a bit of a thrill to see them again in all of their glory.
I couldn’t get a good shot of the pantry or peninsula-end of the kitchen because of the lighting, so I don’t have any pics of those areas for you. But isn’t it coming along nicely?

Nice!!! Can’t wait to see all the hardware and fixtures! I’m starting to picture the completed look! Great job. :)
Gorgeous! Those cabinets. What type of wood and what color stain? Thanks for the peek. Can’t wait to see more…
Hi! They are maple cabinets, and we used Minwax Special Walnut for the stain, with a satin poly. :)
It is fun seeing a wood kitchen! I am loving the rustic/industrial/modern look–can’t wait to see it completed!
I can’t wait to see it completed too!
Wow, love!! Gorgeous!!
Is that a single sink?
Yep! They’re my fave – I know some will disagree, but I think divided bowls are a huge pain. ;)
This looks great. Simplicity at its finest. The single sink is fine and it’s easy to clean too! Thanks for sharing this post and looking forward to seeing the end result. Happy New Year to you and your family!
gorgeous already! fun, fun.
Amazing! The cabinets look so good in there. Will they have handles or do they push open?
They will have handles!
Looking forward for your makeover!
Yes! A summary would be great. By the way, what brand are your kitchen cabinets? They are awesome.
Thanks, Julia! The cabinets are custom – sorry that’s not very helpful!
Beautiful, Beautiful!!! It’s got an old school yet modern look to it that makes it look so high end. Classy:).
