I had hoped to have a post ready for you guys today about the guest bathroom and bedrooms at our 10th flip (long overdue!!), but this week has been crazy so it ain’t happening.
While I don’t always have time to update the blog, I usually share little snippets of what’s going on over on Instagram (@itsgreattobehome). Here’s what’s been going on over there lately!
“We are THIS.CLOSE to having the foundation poured for #IGTBHnewbuild2 – I feel like a kid at Christmas!“
“Fun shoes for a dirty day.”
“Do you see that board running horizontally through the middle of the photo? I noticed it this morning, and the foundation should be poured later today or tomorrow. I’m glad I saw it because it’s not supposed to be there! 😳 it’s a tire stop in the garage, and we don’t want it. So out it goes!”
“So this magical thing happened over the weekend…💃💃💃“
“It may be rainy and disgusting, but a torrential downpour didn’t stop our framing materials from being delivered!“

Looks like things are really moving along! With the foundation poured and framing materials delivered, you are ready to make magic! Can’t wait to see how it all progresses!
Yea! So happy for you that you are getting some forward momentum! Looking good.
We are still waiting for our basement to be delivered. The timeframe has changed about a month… the Superior walls are now scheduled for the 21st. Let’s hope for warm days with no more rain!
My fingers are crossed the rain stops for you guys, too – I think it’s putting everyone behind. :( Hope the 21st gets here soon!
Love your site! So nice that you are willing to share your knowledge and tips. But I have a question, just out of curiosity. The houses you flip turn out amazing, are you ever tempted to make one your new home and sell your current home? I am one of those people that actually likes moving every 5 to 7 years. So I could just see myself doing that. I look forward to more flips from you!
Hi Anna! So far we’ve had brief “affairs” with our flips when we’ve thought it would be fun to move, but nothing ever sticks – our next move will be “the one” that will hopefully be our family home forever (or that’s what I’m hoping, at least!). But I definitely have the itch to move these days – I’m ready to make a home MINE! :)
Hopefully we get another update soon.
Hi Liz, this looks great. It’s amazing how the house suddenly seems to become a reality once the foundations have been poured. I built a few houses a few years ago and I found that before the foundations and floor had been poured, it just seemed like so much work with so little progress. Once the floor was poured though, things got really exciting and moved quickly. Good luck with the rest of the build.

Always love to see great projects being carried out. I really like your blog.
Your home has come so far. I love that you are doing this series now as my house is about a month out from finishing and I read your blog constantly for ideas and inspiration (totally stealing your paint color). I keep a simple blog for myself and far away family to keep track of our process. This post reminds me to take MORE pictures during the process, so thank you!
It is really neat being able to watch you guys through the process of building your dream home! Working with many clients in similar positions as you are, the only thing I can recommend is cherish the moment, it is truly beautiful!
Best wishes,
I like how you organized all stuff. When foundations are finished magic is going to be more closer. Now is all about your creativity.
