I Think It’s The 5th Time This Year…

I had a meeting and an open house get canceled this morning because of this:

SNOW DAY!!!

We’re going to be bundled up all day in front of the fire, hopefully with hot chocolate and a good book and most likely with basketball in the background.  Hope you’re having a lovely Sunday, too!!

P.S. This is bananas, it’s almost April!!  And we’re in Texas!!

Snow White Spaces

Today I’m feeling very snowy, probably from the combination of all the fabulous snow and ice I’m seeing while watching the Olympics and the foot of snow that Dallas got on Thursday.

Snow White Spaces

{This is what it looked like outside my front door}

Isn’t it just gorgeous?  I know a lot of the country has been dealing with too much snow, but this snowiest day on record made our neighborhood glow and the sound of snow falling is so incredibly peaceful – in short, I loved it!

I thought I’d share with you a few beautiful spaces that make me feel like snuggling up in front of a crackling fire.  Touches of sparkle through silver, glass and mirror add an icy glitter, while soft grays, snowy whites, and dreamy blues evoke the calm feeling that follows a snowfall.  You’ll notice that all of the cool tones in the spaces are kept from feeling cold and unapproachable through the use of warm woods, dashes of bronze and gold, and soothing tans.

Do you have a favorite?  And have you been as glued to the Olympics as I have?  I can’t wait for some of the alpine events to start tonight . . .

I Kissed A Moose, And I Liked It

Eeek!!  I nearly fainted when I saw that my hosting company had disabled my account for about 2 hours earlier today – a total blackout of IGTBH was definitely not something I was expecting when I woke up this morning!  It’s all worked out now, and hopefully it will stay that way.

Anyhoo, back to regular programming.  Guess what I did this weekend?

A DIY project, maybe?  Nope.

Got all my blog posts ready for the week?  Ha, double nope!

I went skiing!!!

I Kissed A Moose, And I Liked It

We stayed here in Park City, Utah – at the very tippy top of this building!

I Kissed A Moose, And I Liked It

We’ve stayed here with Jason’s family for the past few years, and we always have this awesome view of the slopes from our balcony:

Don’t we look like pros?  Yeah right!  I managed to end the weekend with only one face plant, which I consider a total success.

I Kissed A Moose, And I Liked It

We hit up the town at night . . .

I Kissed A Moose, And I Liked It

. . . where I’ve been known to kiss a moose or two.  (This picture was actually taken a few years ago, but I just had to include it!)

I Kissed A Moose, And I Liked It

But I know all the snow we enjoyed this weekend can’t compare to the Snowpocalypse that the East Coast is experiencing right now – how is everybody hanging in there?  And for all you folks that aren’t up to your elbows in snow, got any plans to go skiing before the season is over?
