2010 IGTBH Survey Results Are In!

Are you sick of the survey yet?  Don’t fret, this is the last you’re going to hear of it for another year, and this is actually the good part where you get to read what other people had to say about this ol’ blog.  A little nosiness is always fun, right?

While I won’t bore you with every last detail, here’s the dirt in a nutshell {that conjures up a funny mental image}:

It turns out that I have tons in common with you guys, which I think is pretty cool.  Most of you are still in your 20s, you’ve settled down with your hubbies and bought your own homes, and while you may not have taken the kid-plunge yet, you love your pets like they’re your babies.  {BTW – I thought the funniest response to the kid question was a simple “Ew.”}  Best of all, you like sprucing up your digs as much as I do.

{ I’m not sure why we were smiling, our master bedroom was a disaster!! }

Basically, it sounds like you’re peeps I would totally hang out with in real life . . . if you lived here . . . and we actually met.  Minor details, right?

You’re digging what you’re finding on IGTBH.  For the most part, you guys are fans of IGTBH’s current mix of interior design, DIY projects and home renovation – yay!  Your favorite posts are about DIY interior decorating {like this one and this one}, followed by flipping houses and home renovation as a close second, and lowest on your list are eco-friendly tips and product reviews.

I should send out thank you notes because over half of you stumbled across IGTBH through another blog – so thanks to all the other blogs out there that are giving IGTBH a mention!

Y’all are busy bees! Between work and family and cute-ifying your house, you don’t usually have time for all that social media stuff like Twitter and Facebook – and while the occasional how-to video may catch your interest, chances are you just flat out don’t have the extra time to watch it.  Because of your busy schedules, blogs strike your fancy because you can catch up on them when you have the time, scan through for the good stuff, and still have time to take care of everything else.  I’m just glad IGTBH is on your must-read blog list!!  That makes me do the happy dance.  :)

Overall, your responses really drove home that you guys like seeing how real people do real things in their real homes – which totally works for me since I just so happen to be a real person with a real home.  :)  I’m super thrilled that you guys make time to swing by and check out what I’m up to over here at IGTBH – have an awesome weekend, and I’ll talk to you next week!

You’ve Got My Attention

You may recall that IGTBH is now a bona fide one year old – well, time flies and I’d love to pick your brain (in a totally non-gross way) before another year whizzes on by.

You see, you guys are what make this blog fun – your comments always make me all warm and fuzzy and your feedback makes me want to make IGTBH as awesome as it possibly can be.  And how can I know what you guys think if I don’t ask you?

Here’s the deal – I’ve whipped up a super quick, down & dirty survey so that you guys can tell me exactly what you think about IGTBH – what do you like, and what needs some tweaking?  Your constructive criticism will be taken to heart and used to guide this blog towards becoming even more awesome in the next year (I know, you probably didn’t think it was possible for IGTBH to get any gnarlier).

After I get all your comments & put them into action, this is probably what people will be saying about IGTBH:

Or maybe I’m just dreaming.  Whatevs.

Anyhoo . . . pretty please?  I would be thrilled if you’d take a few moments to complete the 2010 It’s Great To Be Home Online Survey (that was the link to the survey, please click on it!).  Of course, fill out what you want, skip what you’d rather not answer.  I will love you forever, and probably mail you a pony.  Thanks!
